 Antique
buttons molds, art stamps and marbling are used in creating
our polymer art buttons. The buttons were originally designed
to create wearable art handbags for Alice’s Tapestries.
They are now made for the knitter’s, weaver’s
and wearable artists all over the country. We hope you
enjoy them as much as we do!
 Years
ago Alice fell in love with a tapestry fabric from a local
fabric store and decided to make bags out of it for her grandmothers
birthdays. She made two bags and they were carried by her two
grandmothers for years. That was the beginning of Alice’s Tapestries
and now over 50,000 bags later we still make bags for boutiques
and museum stores nationally. We make the bags, the art buttons
and the beads to make each one of a kind as a wearable art
piece.
