Our handcrafted buttons are used for embellishment for knitting projects, art quilts and even make into mobiles! These unique notions are a great addition to knitted sweaters, vintage coats and sewing projects of all kinds. Creativity soars with these pieces as closures for bags and purses of felt and fabric. Years ago Alice fell in love with a tapestry fabric from a local fabric store and decided to make bags out of it for her grandmothers birthdays. She made two bags and they were carried by her two grandmothers for years. That was the beginning of Alice’s Tapestries and now over 50,000 bags later we still make bags for boutiques and museum stores nationally. We make the bags, the art buttons and the beads to make each one of a kind as a wearable art piece.
